I live in South Burlington, Vermont with my wife and four children. I created this website as a guide to the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, built from my experiences and enriched by the experiences of other paddlers. When I’m not in a kayak or canoe, my life is centered around my community. I am presently the vice-chair of the South Burlington City Council where I focus on policies that will address the climate crisis, encourage sustainable development and protect the natural resources that make Vermont such a special place.

Paddling & Wilderness Experience

I have done the Allagash numerous times with family and friends. I have also padded extensively in the Adirondacks and around Vermont. I am an Adirondack 46er and have had many adventures across the US in most of our national parks and forests. The Wind River Range (Cirque of the Towers), Yosemite (Tuolumne Meadows) and the Enchantments are among my favorites.
